Over my career I’ve dug into all sorts of areas: ed tech, data visualization, consumer hardware, mobile computer vision, payments, developer platforms, crypto, and lately a lot of AI. Sometimes I’ve shipped under big brands; other times with tiny teams.
What both kinds of work keep teaching me: what makes something work, whether a team, a design, or a product, is often encoded early on.
